Terri Cooper, LMT and owner of A Healthy Alternative Therapeutic Massage is a graduate of Heritage College (2005). Having been a downtown Lee's Summit business owner for the last 10 years Terri loves to bring therapeutic massage to the area. She has been doing this long enough to have seen most injuries/pain problems but also knows that each body is different. She takes the time to get to know what is really bothering you and works the problem and any ancillary problems that might have occurred (some without you even knowing). So many times clients have been living with a pain that don't even realize that it hurts anymore, but once she gets her hands on you, you'll feel like a new person. Aromatherapy, a nice warm table and wonderful heated pillows are included in most massages.....Enjoy!

Her focus is on the important components of health maintenance and overall wellness, while striving to keep the body and mind functioning optimally. Kelli knows that the physical aspects of healing the body are just as important as the mental aspects. With this approach, the goal is to relieve the effects of stress, trigger the relaxation response, reduce anxiety levels, improve immune function, ease sore muscles, restore a calm mind and feeling of well being. Kelli's work can best be descridbed as integrative: combining the relaxing experience of traditional Swedish massage while incorporating therapeutic techniques to relieve muscle tension and tightness.
Amanda Postlewait, LMT is a 2008 graduate of High-Tech Institute. She has worked in multiple spa environments. Her focus is on whole body wellness by relieving tension/pain and reducing stress.
Amanda uses relaxing strokes and varying pressure to assist in muscle mobility; She utilizes Swedish (light, flowy) strokes, up to deep tissue (affects the deeper layers of tissue,) as requested. Most sessions she uses neuromuscular techniques to aid muscles in resetting and relaxing. This is a more gentle approach to trigger point therapy. She also offers pre-natal massage.
Amanda may incorporate stretches or recommend postural changes in daily tasks to alleviate pain. Essential oils are available, depending on ailment or preference. Her aim is to provide a calm, comfortable, and relaxed experience. Looking forward to working on you!
